FISCHETeen (Families In Support of Catholic Home Education) exists to provide a safe, healthy, teen community for Catholic homeschoolers that will promote personal, spiritual, and emotional growth.
FISCHETeen is an organization of Catholic homeschooled teens in the Greater Austin Area who get together to hang out, have fun, serve our community, and share our faith. Together we learn to foster our faith and growth in mind, heart, and spirit for Christ and His Church; participate in the life, mission, and work of the Church in service to others; and lift each other up as we build strong, nurturing, faith-filled friendships.
We get together just about every Friday during the typical school year.
All Catholic homeschoolers between the ages of 13-18 or High School Graduation. Memberships are active September 1 through August 31.
There are fees associated with membership in FISCHETeen. These are used for facility rental, retreat and administration costs, clergy honoraria, service project supplies, and Murder Mystery Parties. FISCHETeen will not turn anyone away due to lack of ability to pay the fees.
Each family is asked to plan one social event per year Each family is asked to assist as chaperone at one event per year (at least 2 adults are needed per event)
These take place monthly at St. Williams Parish. The schedule for the meetings is on the Member Calendar. All parents are welcome at all board meetings.
